ACC BOT Approves 2022 Slate of Officers and Trustees

"These leaders are well-positioned to lead the College in the coming years as we continue through the COVID-19 pandemic and stay focused on our Strategic Priorities and Mission," said Athena Poppas, MD, MACC, who led the Nominating Committee that put forth the slate of candidates to the BOT. “The addition of Dr. Childs as a public member of the board will broaden the perspectives and voices on the Board, providing invaluable new insights and leadership.”

ACC’s Nominating Committee includes Poppas, Claire Duvernoy, MD, FACC; Akshay Khandelwal, MD, FACC; Christopher Kramer, MD, FACC; Jeffrey Kuvin, MD, FACC; Michael Mack, MD, MACC; Roxana Mehran, MD, FACC; and Dipti Itchhaporia, MD, FACC (non-voting ex-officio).

The ACC’s Board of Trustees (BOT) approved the College's newest slate of officers and trustees, including the next president and vice president. The new slate includes: Edward T. A. Fry, MD, FACC, to serve as president from 2022-2023; B. Hadley Wilson, MD, FACC, to serve as vice president from 2022-2023; Joseph Edward Marine, MD, MBA, FACC, to serve as Membership Committee Chair from 2022-2024. James L. Januzzi, Jr., MD, FACC, will continue to serve as a trustee from 2022-2025, and new Trustees include Pamela Bowe Morris, MD, FACC, to serve from 2022-2025, as well as a new Public Member Trustee Ed W. Childs, MD, FACS, who will serve a two year term from 2022-2024.
